"We don't accomplish anything in this world alone... and whatever happens is the result of the whole tapestry of one's life and all the weavings of individual threads from one to another that creates something." Sandra Day O'Connor
As humans our lives are interwoven with each other. Our relationships are the source of our greatest joy and deepest heartache.
At times in our lives we will experience loss, neglect, possibly betrayal by someone we trusted. The 'spark' may have gone from our closest relationship and we don't know how to rekindle intimacy.
My specialism is relationship therapy. This includes working with couples, families and individuals.
In addition to working with people who are experiencing marital or family problems I work with people who are having difficulties at work. We spend a great deal of time at work and our relationship with colleagues can be a source of stress. The culture of an organisation may inhibit our creativity or the pressure to perform result in high levels of stress. Being able to deal positively with conflict can help enhance our self worth and allow us to deliver to the best of our ability.
My counselling approach is integrative with a commitment to working alongside people to enhance understanding of what may be contributing to conflict and offering approaches to resolving differences.
